What’s 'In Store' for the Disarmed

Contrary to your assertion, Ed, there is a way to fight back, and your viewers would do well to know about it. Because while some will advise to just “give them what they want,” a fair question might be “What if what they want is to kill you after they have the money?”

Today's Gun Rights Examiner piece is up and running. Head on over and if you're so inclined, leave a comment and pass the link along.

Tom McClintock for Congress

I urge California gun owners to support and elect Tom McClintock to the House of Representatives. I urge you to get involved now, assist his campaign and recruit other gun owners. If you have been involved, I urge you to renew your efforts. Here's why:

How can conservative gun owners not love a guy who advocates:
[T]he debate is not about guns. It is about freedom. And the wheel has come full circle. Our generation must study politics that we may restore the liberty that our parents and grandparents expect us to pass on to our children and grandchildren.

If we fail, what history will demand of our children and grandchildren, in a society where their only right is to their own thoughts, is simply unthinkable. And be assured, history will find it unforgivable. A generation that is handed the most precious gift in all the universe – freedom – and throws it away -- deserves to be reviled by every generation that follows – and will be, even though the only right left to them is their own thoughts.
I've met the man. I had the opportunity to speak with him in person. I'm convinced he's the real deal.

Thing is, I'm not the one who needs convincing. California gun owners need to get off their duffs, get on the forums and boards, call their friends, scold their shooting buddies, open their wallets and generally knock off the apathy that is "our" worst failing.

I couldn't move that mountain much when Arnold was climbing it. But that didn't make the truth of why McClintock was the superior candidate any less relevant. And with the banning of .50 BMGs, with the lead shot ammo ban, and all the subsequent infringements since Arnold took over, we have the benefit of hindsight to confirm this.

It's clear the Nancy Pelosi machine is working overtime to ensure the congressional seat ends up an extension of their centralized planning campaign against freedom. Does anyone think Tom's opponent will buck his backers? And why is it do you suppose the democrat has been so shy about showing voters his hand in terms of his support for Barack Obama--the guy whose record proves he "would be the most anti-gun president in America's history" if elected?

There's really nothing more to say. California gun owners--I urge you to stop what you're doing, right now, and click on this link and start helping.

Does Owning A Gun Make You Safer?

The second amendment of the constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. As the specter of gun violence continues in our workplaces, roads and schools, the question keeps arising: do guns keep you safe, or just increase the level of violence?
Opposing Views Editor Edgar Acosta sent this to me and figured WarOnGuns readers would be interested. I agree.

Thing is, I have more on my plate at the moment than I know what to do with, so I haven't had time to do much more than a surface scan. If any of you want to go over there and check it out, feel free to give us your impressions in "Comments," below.

BATFU Heroes Foil Skinhead Plot Against Lightworker!

An Obama assassination attempt has been disrupted by the ATF. Federal agents have broken up a plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives said today.
Except the owner of the gun shop they were planning to hit didn't seem to have much fear of them:
"They would never got 'em without somebody getting shot," Mitchell said, laughing.

Laughing. He takes these mutts real seriously.

It looks like all BATFU's trawling netted a couple of low-grade imbeciles, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old, I believe what the gungrabbers refer to as "children" when it suits their statistics-padding purposes, evoking heart-rending images of little Johnny and Susie and a nightstand tragedy.

But what this does is allows them to generate good press, hell, Hollywood adventure press, something "Waco Jim" Cavenaugh has learned how to do since his namesake fiasco backfired. We just saw it the other day with the Mongols, and now this.

Ain't it curious how they're all of a sudden (and in the wake of some high-profile jackbooted incompetence) riding in like heroes.

Gee, I wonder if this report by David Hardy has any bearing?

The ATF director has just been given a report from the Inspector General that is pretty devastating. MAJOR screwups, their internal affairs refusing to check out complaints about those, etc.. So now offices are being told to generate favorable publicity, quickly, because this is going to get out sometime soon.
Ya think?

It looks to me like Maximum Mike senses the Age of The Lightworker approaching, and a new opportunity for getting the "Acting" taken off that "Sith Lord" title.

Obama Be They Name

Thy will be done...
And thy Kingdom come.

Why don't they just cut to the chase and recite The Lord's Prayer backwards?

UPDATE: D R Zinn and DirtCrashr in "Comments" think we can count on seeing plenty more of this, and from that vantage point.

We're the Only Ones High and Dry Enough

“The two local police officers at the scene didn't seem to want to get their shoes wet and just left us to it. It was disgusting.”
Just what do these people think the "Only Ones" are being paid for?

Is "Gun Control" Best for America?

Those who favor gun control fall into two basic groups. The hard core who's true goal is "people control" and those who are just ignorant on the subject and only know what they hear in the media.
Yeah, evil and ignorance. Enemies of freedom worship the first and count on the second.

Jack Burton gives a good summary of common myths vs. a commodity that doesn't seem to be in mass demand these days, the truth.

A Constitution-Free Zone

It isn't just for DC Metro any more.

We're the Only Ones Searching Enough

Metrorail riders will soon have to open their bags for inspection under a new program announced Monday.

The transit agency has posted signs in Metro stations, warning riders about the planned random bag searches...

"I have come to the conclusion that random inspections work," said John Catoe, Metro's General Manager. "An individual will not know if they're going to be checked if they're intending on being a threat to our system."
Ah, Catoe! Wasn't it your boss who said "I suspect everyone and I suspect no one"?

The "Only Ones" mentality: Coming soon to a police state near you, because the courts have said ignoring the Fourth Amendment is OK--the Founders evidently intended it to be a collective right applicable only to the state. Besides, what have you got to hide?

And remember, they hate us because we're free.

We're the Only Ones Dangerous Enough

Stop and think about, what good does it do to fire a trooper if you really think he's dangerous?
OK, I stopped and I thought.

Thing is, the only choice he seems to be leaving men who will not be abused is to fire on the trooper. That is, unless you buy into the assumption that the "Only Ones" can do whatever they want...

Officer To Protesting Reporter: 'I Can Do Whatever I Want'
Gotta love it. When "Only Ones" and "Authorized Journalists" collide.

What a great idea, deeming thugs like this worthy of being armed, but you and I unworthy.

And what's with "the officer"? Does Bluto have a name?

This Day in History: October 28

General Sir William Howe, new Commander-in-Chief of the British army, issues a proclamation to the American residents of Boston forbidding any person from leaving the city on pain of death. He also orders citizens to organize into military companies in order to aid in the "defense" of their city.
