Vanderboegh Out of Surgery-Full Recovery Expected

I just got off the phone with Mike's wife Rosey.

The surgery was completed this afternoon. Mike is now conscious and talking.

I'm not going to go into the details she explained to me because it's not necessary--suffice it to say they are anticipating a full recovery. She expects they will keep him in ICU through to next Monday as opposed to moving him to another room because staffing levels drop over the weekend.

She also very much appreciates the prayers and well-wishes I shared with her that have been communicated to me.

When I spoke with Mike this morning I had to be careful not to overdo telling the guy how much I appreciate him, because I didn't want to add to his worries by making it sound like I was saying goodbye.  And afterward I regretted not doing so, because what if I was?

This really is the best possible news.

If I get any relevant updates, I'll of course share them.

Researchers say don’t count on Constitution to stop Arms Trade Treaty

And then remember that if the Constitution was the final word in the way our government conducts itself, there would be no federal firearms prohibitions in the first place. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes there are those who think they don't need no stinkin' ratification.

In fact, as shown in the video, Project Veritas investigators insisted on presenting identification in order to vote, but were told repeatedly, "you don't need it." [More]

Message from Mike

At this moment, I am just overcome with sentiment for all of the support and trust you have given me and words are so inadequate to the occasion. So all I can say is thanks, and I'll see you on the other side of this thing, no matter how it turns out. It is, in any case, all in God's hands. [More]
I spoke with him earlier this morning.  When I hear something, you'll hear something.

A Cornerstone of Foreign Policy

Hillary-style "feminism"... [Read]

Which evidently does not extend to Paula Jones being able to get a perjury-free day in court, to Juanita (You'd better put some ice on that while we have the IRS audit you)  Broaddrick, to...

Here's a conundrum for her, especially seeing as how that foreign policy she's laying cornerstones for involves embracing multicultural diversity: What's her position on a woman's right to choose gendercide?

When Only Ones and Authorized Journalists Collide

Bay Area News Group reporter Doug Oakley said he was shaken by the 12:45 a.m. Friday knock on the door of his Berkeley home. [More]

Ah, tolerant, progressive Berkeley. Keep editorializing that these guys should be the "Only Ones." Your masters are counting on your useful idiocy in that regard.

Hey, Oakley had it easy--he just had Sergeant Mary show up, and the press guys all know her. My wife had to deal with two black and whites when they came to check me out.

But then, I'm only an "Unauthorized Journalist."

What's Brown and Smells Like Chris?

Not surprisingly, Phillips spent the interview promoting the right-wing conspiracy theory that Fast and Furious was a plot to promote gun control instead of a failed law enforcement investigation. [More]
Actually, that's not where that opinion originated. But then, lil' Chrissie know that.

Gee, I wonder why he acts like he doesn't?

It is curious, though, why he would continue working for a "viciously mean" paranoid who abuses his employees. He evidently gets some sort of sick fulfillment from it.
