UPDATE:

ATF checking on Chinese ammo manufacturing equipment import cutoff report

It should be noted that his inability to locate a ruling does not prove or disprove its existence. There may not be such a rule or there may be and it has just not been well-communicated throughout the Bureau or to the public. If it does exist, it may not even be new -- this just may be the first time anyone has called it to wider attention. That such a determination is not (yet?) listed with other Rulings proves nothing either, as that list being incomplete is deemed by some critics to be what those who make arbitrary decisions prefer. And it may be a ruling communicated via a private letter, not generally distributed beyond its intended recipient and potentially very difficult to track down (and possibly even requiring a Freedom of Information Act request to do so). Today's Gun Rights Examiner report wonders who we can ask about the "rules," if not those tasked with enforcing them.

Lock N Load

I'll be joining host Bill Frady on GOA's Lock N Load Radio program this afternoon at 5:30 Eastern to set the stage for a 6 p.m. segment with Mike Detty, where he'll discuss his new book "Guns Across the Border."

Speaking of which, I note Amazon just released a Kindle version for those who prefer that format and want to save a few bucks. Me, I'd much rather have the hardcopy volume, but the important thing is to read it.

Click here at the appointed hour to listen in to the conversations and to join the live chat.

If you have an account there (and yeah, I've heard all the reasons why some won't, but the fact remains if you don't, you're ceding a communications line to the enemy who WILL use it against you), go on over and give them some support.

Why doesn't this report also talk about supportive gun owners showing up?

And  why doesn't the "local gun club" kick Karen Fester out?

A further communication from the French Minister informs us, that the Court of France laments the weakness of our army; insinuates the idea of co-operation in expelling the enemy from the United States; apprehends attempts to seduce the States into separate negotiations, and hopes measures will be taken to frustrate such views.
