Shelter from the Storm

This reminds me of someone I know who has ventured that their family will be able to come get guns from a more prepared relative's household when they need it. I let that go without challenging the assumption that such things would just be turned over, but did point out they would not know how to deploy with firearms if they had them, plus they would never survive unarmed to make it across town to pick them up in the first place. Everyone had access to the same information. It's all out there.

It seems that it's the people with real means who think they can rely on their low income friend for survival.

It's like buying a fire extinguisher - in the event of a fire, it's a pretty good tool.

Likewise homeowner's or renter's insurance. May never need it, but if you do, you'll wish you'd had it.
