N.J. activist Colandro earns Gun Rights Examiner endorsement for NRA Board

Colandro has put himself on the line with his candid and honest responses. For guts alone he deserves a nod. Name one other candidate who has publicly given this much specific information and indicated a willingness and approachability to give more. For that reason, and because of my agreement with most of what he pledges, he has my support and endorsement, and will likely be the only candidate who does unless more choose to unequivocally and properly answer these questions. This evening’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes we can complain or we can work for change. If NRA members actually vetted their board candidates with the same level of scrutiny they do politicians, many of the reasons for complaining about the way the Association does things would go away.

ATF now promoting book it tried to kill

“ATF is again promoting my book and putting it on display within the walls of the ATF Headquarters building in Washington, D.C.,” Dobyns explained, providing the photos accompanying this column to prove it. “It is being used to promote ATF's achievements on a wall labeled ‘ATF Authors’." [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes a book burning at the book fair, and puzzles without success over how the two can be compatible.

We're the Only Ones Theatrical Enough

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco identified the suspect as retired Tampa police officer Curtis Reeves, according to reports. [More]
I guess it's more direct than compaining to the management.

I found references to another Cobb theater near Tampa being posted"No Guns" and have put out a request to see if the same applies to the one in Wesley Chapel.

Today's Five-Minute Activism

Two columns dealing with a well-financed threat were published over the weekend that I'm asking readers to help spread the word on, because wider attention could not only embarrass a bitter enemy of the right to keep and bear arms, but actually bring his operations under investigation if enough attention can be called to them. I'm talking about Bloomberg.

It’s no surprise that the “mainstream media” has no interest in the information I've provided getting out of a niche readership, so that’s where regular readers come in. Please share the links to “DeBlasio conspicuously absent as Bloomberg still listed on MAIG site” and “MAIGdocuments suggest misuse of public funds, conflict with Brady Campaign” with like-minded colleagues and urge them to do the same.

Wouldn’t it be nice to force him to remain on the defensive, instead of leaving him unblocked to attack us at will?  Actually, if enough people get involved, perhaps answering for the results of an audit might end up occupying him full time.

Burlington Continues Stonewalling on Document Requests

We've discussed the goings-on in Vermont quite a bit here at WarOnGuns and at Gun Rights Examiner, and I keep getting more email updates that there's just not enough of me to keep up with, considering all the other stories demanding attention. So I thought it appropriate to remind readers this is an ongoing issue that should be of interest not just to Vermonters, but to all of us who need to be on guard against municipalities trying to enact patchwork quilt gun grabs, such as a stealth threat I recently exposed in Ohio.

My suggestion is to bookmark the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs website and consult it on a regular basis--and if you're a Vermont gun owner to do your part to help them continue the fight. I'll be keeping an eye on things in case there are any big developments requiring special reporting, but for the most part, and to the relief of most, there's only one of me.

Fast and Furious, that wasn't a story, but this, why, judging from the picture, a dozen or more people must have shown up!... [More]

"We understand that there are gun rights, but the increasing lethality of these weapons has got to stop," Ron Pinciaro, of Connecticut Against Gun Violence, said.
Flesh that out for us, Ron. The firearms you hive insects want militarized police shock troops, deploying with true "weapons of war," to seize from your countrymen have been around for how many decades?

It's not enough they want to humiliate you and make you stand in line and set yourself up for confiscation.  They want it all and they will never stop, which makes NSSF's propensity for preemptive surrender to domestic enemies all the more baffling.

And the Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists are there to make sure any concessions are never even mentioned the next time the "gun lobby" is accused of being intractable.

This is an insightful observation pointing out an exploitable vulnerability.
