A "Progressive" Dilemma

If they have to rename this...

Will they also have to rename this?

When in Rome

Muslims are forbidden by their religious law, Shariah, from paying interest on loans so they must be offered loans structured in such a way that interest is not part of the package. [More]
Naturally, the money-worshipers are tripping all over themselves to accommodate, which accounts for this:
The Obama administration, with the full support of Congress, is following an immigration policy that allows at least 100,000 Muslims into the country every year, according to U.S. Census data.
But don't worry, recognizing the Founders told us what was necessary to the security of a free state, our diversity through all this immigration leading to a pathway to citizenship can only make us stronger, right?

Well... not exactly:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced Tuesday that it will no longer require incoming U.S. citizens to declare that they will bear arms on behalf of the United States, as stipulated in the Oath of Allegiance.
I wonder how may will have no problem bearing arms on behalf of something else.

Another (Former) Bloomberg Mayor Facing Multitude of Charges

“Former mayor of Pa. capital charged with 499 criminal counts,” Fox News documented in its report. “If convicted on all counts and given consecutive maximum sentences, Reed could face up to 2,439 years in prison.”
Whenever I see reports of a mayor in trouble with the law, my first instinct any more is to see if he or she is one of Bloomberg’s Bürgermeisters. [More]
I'd love to see someone with statistical expertise come up with a verifiable number for: A member of Bloomberg's Mayors Against Guns group is X times more likely to be a criminal than an NRA member.

We're the Only Ones Wheeling and Dealing Enough

Authorities say they are investigating an incident involving officers believed to have used bean-bag rounds and a Taser on a homeless man in a wheelchair ... The footage shows 10 LAPD officers surrounding Zareck, and shouts can be heard.... [More]
Hey, I remember that episode...

We're the Only Ones Stripped Down to Basics Enough

A Portland Police Bureau officer is under investigation after a woman visiting from Las Vegas said he arrived at her Pearl District hotel room to follow up on her domestic assault complaint, stripped naked and ordered her to give him a massage. [More]
The thing that sticks out most for me, no double entendre intended, is the Authorized Journalist "reporting" the cop showed the victim his "service revolver."

Thanks, But No. And We're Calling the Cops On You.

I'd love to know how high the demand came down from. [More]

If we weren't "ruled" by Opposite Day "progressives," not only would this not be be necessary, but supplemental security, if needed, would be provided by a "call[ed] forth" militia.

Happy Birthday, Mike

Everybody knows that story, right?

Hey, many more, youngster!

October Surprise

Yeah, I was surprised too...

Uno Qustion:

¿Cómo se dice "single issue" en español? [More]

He Must Be Made an Example Of!

Federal authorities said they will assess whether any aviation laws were violated and also “work with its law enforcement partners to determine if there were any violations of criminal statutes”... [More]
Why?

The monopoly of violence drones will brook no competition. Not that this young man was trying to give them any, but they intend to make damn good and sure no one gets any ideas.

It sounds like they may let him off -- this time. For some reason, the thought of a different reaction if he'd put a Confederate flag decal or "III" sticker on it, or even a cross, comes to mind...
