Reflections

And yet, we do what we can with what we have, for God commands us to stand. He doesn't command us to win, but he does expect us to fight. [More]
Mike considers his situation.

I wish I could give my friend his grandson, his goats and his bees.

Unfortunately, Powerball is designed for people with an extremely limited grasp of wise investment strategies, and the sad reality is, all I have to do is get six lousy numbers and I can't even do that right.

Rotten Olive Branch Offered after Roanoke Murders

I challenged the assumption that such edicts exist, and also the admonition that “public civility” is always the appropriate response to hostile subversives and useful idiots. Those were general concepts. Let’s take a look now at the specifics being offered by IFoA. [More]
My latest AmmoLand offering looks at a preemptive surrender being offered by the more "moderate" among us. I didn't even use any cuss words.

Fine By Me

Some of these guys have decided to engage, but the bottom line is, a critical mass of us will not comply with illegal infringements no matter what stupid sh!+ these hive insects try to come up with.

Turnabout's Fair Play

RNC presses Trump to pledge no independent 2016 run [More]
So will the other RNC candidates and "leaders" pledge to support Trump if he does win the party nomination?

Third party may actually be the way to go this time, if only to show it can be done, and that people are catching on to a foolish and fraudulent idea.  With Hillary's criminality becoming less concealable each passing day to all but dependents and fanatics, with the GOP offering the usual gang of establishment sellouts, and with his ability to attract working class voters, I can see Trump pulling in over a third of the electorate. That will make the tired accusation we've seen over the years that "If you don't vote for _____ that means the Democrat will win," into something The Donald's supporters can turn back on the ones making it: You don't want Hillary? Vote for our guy. otherwise, it's your fault.

I'm enjoying the theater, especially seeing increasing desperation from the same political con men who have been ignoring, putting down and betraying their base for years under the arrogant assumption that conservative-leaning voters had nowhere else to go.

UPDATE: I guess it's a moot point now.  Perhaps it will forestall some savage attacks.

An Expert Opinion

[T]hat immigrants and other losers are destroying the country while the cultural elites that look down on him stand by and do nothing resonates strongly with the less-educated, lower-income whites who appear to be his base. [More]
Oh, Arthur Goldwag-- you're so much more "progressive" than those provincial, ignorant racists you rightfully feel so superior to. I mean, you've obviously got really broad life experience yourself.

Of Course They Knew

Records indicate DOJ execs aware of misconduct alleged in ATF case [More]
A-yup.

That's objectionable, alright.

Why We Need Waiting Periods

So wheelchair-bound homeowners can have an extended "cooling off period," of course... [More]

He kept it under his pillow?  I thought trained professionals were the "Only Ones" who could do that. I also see the guy doesn't understand the value of keeping his lips zipped.

That said, what's the DA's hold-up?

We're the Only Ones Trigger-Happy Enough

Looks like attempted cold-blooded murder to me... [More]

And the guy's a lieutenant, with prior lethal force issues in a department where that appears to be part of the culture. He's been getting away with being who and what he is for a very long time, and everyone knew it, but still set the Sardaukar loose on the public.

Not that The Daily Beast will change its mind on the wisdom of sociopaths like this being the "Only Ones" armed... After all, that would result in true egalitarian power sharing, and what is it we know from experience about "progressives"...?

We're the Only Ones Bearing Down Enough

They call it “The Bear.” The Detroit Police Department’s new bigger, badder and better SWAT vehicle is able to hold more team members, set perimeters for police and assist in search and rescue operations. [More]
Man, when we think of the destruction one of these monsters could do in a wrong-house raid, hell, brings tears of joy to our eyes...

What do you want to ride around in environment-ravaging personal vehicles for, when more socially responsible alternatives exist? [More]

Criminality in the Clinton camp?  They expect us to believe that? [More]

Something's Fishy

I heard he gets the same reaction from Kal Penn and Reggie Love... [More]

Do you like fishsticks?

Objective Journalists

Gwen Ifill has an objective, and PBS is upset she was so blatant about it. [More]

Bedrock of credibility, says the ombudsman who came over from WaPo. Good one.

For "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.

Why, Indeed?

U.S. officials were at a loss to explain the Chinese naval movements, which came as President Barack Obama was visiting Alaska and the Arctic region on a three-day trip to address climate change. [More]
Oh, I don't know. I'd say the difference in priorities makes it pretty obvious.

Another Stone in the Wall

The U.S. government is fighting to keep details of how its own federal gun agents let Mexican drug cartels buy rifles in Arizona illegally out of an upcoming murder trial in which two men will be tried for the killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry who died after he ran into men carrying those same illegal guns. [More]
I'm trying to see if I can get some exclusive insights on this -- if so, I'll do a column.

Any Number of Reasons

3 REASONS I WENT FROM BEING A GUN NUT TO SUPPORTING GUN CONTROL [More]
It doesn't matter if he has a spate or anything else. By revealing himself to be a "progressive," Chris Hunt has shown that for him, every day is Opposite Day, and his "rationale," such as it is, doesn't matter.
