Nine Shots...

...and it didn't put him down? [More]

Does a domestic dispute at Love Field qualify as an aptronym?

The people milling around certainly appear to have zero survival skills.

Petition for Rehearing

Time for Another 'Assault Weapon' Ban!

Breaking: Active Shooter, Deerfield Ohio At Shopping Center, 1 Deputy, 1 Civilian Shot…UPDATE: Gunman Accused Of Shooting Ohio Sheriff’s Deputy In Custody…Update: Mohamed Laghaoui Shot Female Deputy With AK-47…[More]
If only homegrown Christian gun owner extremists weren't such haters...

If only we required the same rigorous security screening for them...

This Isn't How It's Supposed to Work

It is now. It's part of that "fundamental transformation." [More]

Gosh, I love the new "progressive" tolerance for diversity!  I don't suppose telling the lynch mob they're trespassing into your safe space would work?

Spread the word -- these are the thugs supporting the gun owner control candidate.

Confronting the Accuser

St. Louis prosecutors fight to keep crime victim information private after retaliations [More]
Will there be a means to challenge the credibility of a witness, or to allow for legal retaliation against a false witness?

We're the Only Ones Sorry Enough

Chicago police say they are sorry for destroying a daughter’s last message to her parents, which had been kept as evidence in the woman’s death investigation. [More]
"Administrative error." So much for the TV meme about the cop who cares too much and gets too involved.

Who initiated and signed off on the destruction? Did anyone? Got a signature?

Was policy followed? If not, is a gross violation really just considered an "error"?

I'm actually surprised there's not more of a records retention requirement than this, and that the boxes aren't kept in a long-term controlled custody storage facility for 20 years or so as a matter of cold case policy, especially when it involves a homicide.  For God's sake, they keep frickin' traffic crash reports for eight years...

What happens if new evidence comes to light and it turns out there's some physical property in the original document that was never examined or considered relevant?

Nothing to See Here, So He'd Like Us to Believe...

In any event, Heller is unlikely to be overturned. [More]
It doesn't have to be with tyrannical bench legislation like the Ninth Circuit just pulled.

I don't buy Winkler's "nothing to worry about/it ain't goin' nowhere" assurances.  This strikes me more as a "Don't let Hillary scare you" appeal to lull the opposition. Reverse polarity on SCOTUS's last 5 - 4 weigh-in, or make it 6 -3 or more, and let the insatiable, eye-rolling feeding frenzy begin.

Bitter Against Better Men

A San Francisco supervisor has accused the Blue Angels of striking terror into the community “when they strafe neighborhoods” and seeks a flyover ban on the “killing machines”... [More]
Sometimes, an ad hominem response is appropriate. What an @$$hole.

If you compare his "professional" bio to that of any member of the Blue Angels team, you'll get a pretty good indication of why he resents them so.

DIY

IN THE WAKE OF SAN JOSE, PATRIOTS MUST STEP UP TO PROTECT ALL AMERICANS AGAINST ASSAULT BY VIOLENT THUGS [More]
In reality, that's the way it's always been.

Nobody's expecting you to play Batman, and the impulse to adopt the Rick Blaine philosophy is understandable.  It is, after all, the responsibility of each of us to take appropriate personal safety precautions.

That said, when good people see others being victimized, we do what we can to render aid. Because ultimately, we're the one who will know if we behaved worthy of the sacrifices of those who came before us, or like miserable cowards.

And that said, I wonder how much I'd be willing to risk if the victim were wearing an Everytown or Hillary t-shirt...

We're the Only Ones Dislocated Enough

A Stockbridge man shot by police who had been dispatched to the wrong house died Thursday afternoon... [More]
Here's the part I was on pins and needles over:
No officers were injured in the incident.
Thank goodness. Now all we need is a "standard department protocol" ruling and our unidentified community hero can get back to the all-important business of making it home safely at the end of his shift.

Much Ado About Nothing

I have no idea how many lives will be saved as a result. [More]
Tells me all I need to know about this pompous noisemaker...

Wanna know what the NIJ said about "buybacks"?

Meaning the rights thieves need to make it mandatory for everything and everyone in Everytown. And expect that to be every bit as successful as the "War on Drugs," and a lot more dangerous once tribal "gun lords" start fighting over turf.

But the important thing is, this smug useful idiot feels good about herself.

We're the Only Ones Swiping Enough

It’s not a Fourth Amendment search if a cop swipes your credit card, court finds -- Mag stripe simply contains same info that's clearly visible, so no warrant needed. [More]
It's not "clearly visible" unless he takes it out of my wallet and examines it. What's he doing that for without a warrant?

Common Sense Drone Safety Laws

Man who built gun drone, flamethrower drone argues FAA can’t regulate him [More]
Those things looked like so much fun I laughed out loud just watching the videos. Obviously the guy behind them is just having a ball in pursuit of happiness and isn't endangering a soul.

So naturally, the grey, unimaginative little bureaucrats who crave power over others to compensate for their own personal inadequacies are going to put a stop to that!

The Only Game in Town?

Less than three months after being denied access to a bank because he sells firearms, a North Carolina gun seller said the bank reversed its policy and offered him the financial products he needs to run his business. [More]
No one else will do business with him? Why reward those gutless douches?

Double Standard

BUZZFEED GOES WHERE CHRISTIAN BAKERS BANNED [More]
Of course they should have the protected right to do business with whomever they wish.

We all should.

Thing about Buzzfeed: A few years back, they did probably the most fair write-up on me 'n Mike I've seen.

Means, Motive and Opportunity

House Speaker Paul Ryan is hoping Trump loses so he can run in four years. [More]
That's why I'm hoping more people learn about Paul Nehlen so he can #CantorRyan. Trump ought to reciprocate and endorse him.

If nothing else, Ryan would have to spend so much of his political war chest he'd have about enough left over to run for dog catcher.
