In other words, those holed up in Fairfax ain't about to rock that boat on something as potentially disruptive to access and to the bottom line as gun owner rights.

So it's not about "racism" per se, even if the effects of silence result in injustices. And those motivated to insist otherwise are enabled by a familiar pattern of the top brass hiding and hoping it will all blow over.
