Fresno State Would Not Hesitate to Dismiss ‘Hate Professor’ were He Conservative

How about if he had gone on public rants against black “trash scum,” and had proclaimed “If only Aminah had had an abortion”? [More]
Is what's good for the goose good for the gander? Not unless those who think it should be force the issue.

Can There Be No Peace Between Our Peoples?

What do you think? [More]

Looks like fodder for a longer article to me. But not today. I've already put in my time.

Nice of some of them to admit what some of us have been warning against.

I do wonder when's the last time Shelley made it down to the range...?

One Question

These new kinds of bullets are lethal underwater [Due to Fox News denying access to Blogspot links, you'll need to search for that quote]
So will they be available to We the People?

Mixed Feelings

On the one hand, it's great to see such gadgets shown for what they are. And the kid is cute and precocious as hell.

On the other hand, the adult who arranged for, encouraged and allowed such stunningly dangerous violations of Cooper's rules by a child was inexcusably irresponsible. Just because you're an expert in one field doesn't assure mastery of all -- or even, evidently, rudimentary competence.

The Founders Could Have Never Imagined...

...this. [More]

Oh, they could have in a tyranny; they were well aware of that. I'm talking about in the Republic they established, where "the supreme Law of the Land" existed for the express purpose "to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."

Red State Blue Laws

State lawmakers say porn is a public health crisis that causes rape and sex trafficking—but watch all you want as long as the state gets a cut. [More]
Really? With an armed escalation of force response against scofflaws and resisters?

Have they thought about what it's gonna take to stop the signal?

Maybe they can come up with counterparts to Jinjing and Chacha, to scare off anyone who doesn't pay to register themselves (and make their most personal secrets available to third parties with agendas of their own)...

We're the Only Ones Unqualifiedly Susceptible Enough

Deputy Loses Immunity For Battering Arrestee, Tightly Handcuffing Him For Three Hours As 'Punishment' [More]
So will he be treated like one of us mundanes? Otherwise, what good does remanding it to the lower court that ruled his use of force was reasonable do?

That's Some 'Gun Sting'

Feds arrest suspect in death of border agent killed with weapon in Fast and Furious operation [More]
I'd have linked to Fox News, which broke the story, except they must not need the eyeballs because they deny access to blogspot links. I don't know if I'll have much more to say on this -- I don't have any uniquely-sourced hard information at this point, and I leave it to others to reword stories that others dig out.

My first impression is I'll be surprised if they get anything out of the guy that can be used against anyone in on the plot and the cover-up.

Teach Your Children Well

Louisiana students, technically as young as kindergarteners, who bring toy guns to school could face criminal penalties under a proposal state lawmakers will consider during a session that begins Monday. [More]
Best they learn early on some activities once considered innocuous and normal will now result in hysterical "adult" overreactions and a response from armed state enforcers, right, 86% NRA-rated "Republican" Dodie Horton?

Mission Accomplished

From Iowa Firearms Coalition via email:
House File 517, the biggest gun bill in state history IS NOW THE LAW OF THE LAND! Permit Privacy and the Supervised Youth Handgun Shooting provisions are fully in effect. The rest of the bill, Stand Your Ground, Short Barrel Rifles, Emergency Powers and so on, will take effect on July 1st.

Ha!

I suppose if he kills himself, he'll be portrayed as a victim of bullying.

Softball Questions?

...are there any more in depth questions than the softball ones in the article? [More]
Really? Anyone else asking harder ones? Of NRA Board candidates or of politicians?

Speaking of which, it's not the first time my getting unequivocal answers has been overshadowed by NRA not just softballing, but sandbagging.

And it's not the first time this particular forum has been a showcase for the ineptitude of some of its members.

At Least They're Not Censoring Everything...

Facebook publishing child pornography • Social media giant apologises for refusing to remove images • Company could be prosecuted as jihadist posts also exposed [More]
At least Team Zuckerberg is taking care of the really bad stuff...

And the Splitting of the Moon Did?

A Muslim activist who taught at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and was accused by a student of claiming Jesus’ crucifixion never happened has resigned. [More]
I guess her point is to show the world what intolerant and bigoted fanatical haters Americans are.  Yet here she is.

I wonder if a Christian activist teaching under an Islamist theocracy and claiming Muhammad's "miracles" never happened would be afforded a similar opportunity...?

Teach Your Children Well

MIT Press is out with a new book that teaches children the tenets of Karl Marx with fairy tales. Communism for Kids, written by a German author who specializes in political theory and "queer politics," was released last month. The thesis of the children's book is that communism is "not that hard," but has not been implemented in the right way. [More]
Gee, don't they know "schools are 'no place for anti-science propaganda'"?

I wonder how many copies they've ordered in Portland... ?

Turn Up the Heat

It's a shame you have to -- "leaders" are supposed to lead. [More]

At least this is further evidence of who the real leaders are.

A Mighty Voice Stilled

William Norman Grigg died this afternoon. He was a journalist, broadcaster, editor, musician, father, husband, and a self-described Christian Individualist. He was also my hero. [More]
I regret that my own work too often got in the way of reading him and sharing his links more. As I noted a few years back:
I'm in awe of giants like William N Grigg, and select other liberty writers, and deem their voices to be essential ones to heed. Yet outside of the liberty movement, they remain relatively obscure.
And relatively broke. There's a fundraising page to help his family. Don't let the goal being met dissuade you -- that was established before the breadwinner was lost forever. And please believe me when I tell you they sacrifice much in terms of material rewards -- and sometimes even basics -- by supporting what can only be described as a calling.

History is indeed written by the victors. Please join me in renewing a commitment to ensuring names like Grigg (and Vanderboegh, who was also an admirer) are not forgotten.

We're the Only Ones Caretaking Enough

When he was shot, Kinsey was attempting to calm Arnaldo Soto, a man with autism who was playing with a toy truck that police believed could be a firearm. [More]
I can't tell you how many times feral sons Uday and Qusay almost took a bullet from me for that very reason.

All in All You're Just Another Brick in the Wall

“There is a lot of anti-American sentiment in Mexico. If the election were tomorrow in Mexico, you'd probably have a left-wing, anti-American president in Mexico. That can't be good for America,” McCain said. [More]
He's holding out for an anti-American president in America. Trump had other choices for both him and Ryan, you know, and chose the swamp instead.

I see two NIMBYs, "unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment and lifelong member of the NRA" Hurd, and "strong edition to the pro-gun majority" McSally haven't calculated the costs once those they're letting enter move deeper in.

Oh and oh.

What a surprise.  Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue.
